The Art of Doing Nothing

Every surf camp talks about making lifelong friends, surfing until your arms give up, and squeezing every drop out of your holiday.

And don’t get us wrong—we love all of that.

But every now and then, especially during a week like this with a relentless heatwave and tiny waves only breaking around low tide, the best session isn’t always on a surfboard.

Sometimes it’s just floating.

Looking down through crystal-clear water. Feeling the sun on your face. Letting the tide carry you for a while. No phone. No schedule. No pressure to be doing something.

Those quiet afternoons often become the moments you remember most.

Because surfing has never just been about catching waves. It’s about learning the rhythm of the ocean—and sometimes that rhythm is telling you to slow down.

The waves will come back. They always do.

Until then… enjoy the magic of simply being here. 🌊☀️💙
